Catholic Content for Websites

How to Automatically Display Awesome Content from Other Websites on Your Website

Our CatholicWebsite.com website platform allows for you to automatically import and display content from any RSS feed on the Internet!

RSS is an abbreviation for "Rich Site Summary" and is a special format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related websites, blogs, and other online publishers publish their content as an RSS feed so whoever wants it can have it.

Below are some examples of RSS feeds that various Catholic organizations publish. We've included them here so you can easily reference and use them on your own website.

In order to pull-in and automatically display content from an RSS feed, all you have to do is add a "Web Feed" widget to any page on your website:

Our administrative interface gives you the ability to name the feed and input any RSS feed URL you desire:

We've also given you the ability to customize how the content is displayed:

The end result is dynamic content brought in from other websites... right on your own website!

Let's see what this might look like using the "Saint of the Day" RSS feed provided by Catholic News Agency at https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/rss/saint.xml

We found this RSS feed URL by visiting the RSS feeds page on their website, scrolling down to "Saint of the Day," and then right clicking on "Saint of the Day" and choosing to copy the link (also called the "URL") to our clipboard.

We then paste this URL into the "Feed URL" field into the correct place:

Saint of the Day

The result is a beautiful rendering of the content from this external website on our very own website!

Here's a screenshot of the result:

It's really that easy!
